Eyal Danon is the President and Founder of Ignite Advisory Group, and a world-renowned expert on customer and partner advisory boards.
Question: Eyal: For our next CAB meeting, we are thinking of hosting both in-person and virtual meeting attendees. What is your advice on this hybrid approach?
Answer: While this concept seems to make sense in today’s environment, we might recommend against doing so. First off, having CAB members join in via phone or video is always problematic – it’s hard for them to hear and contribute to the conversation. In addition, offering virtual meeting participation may reduce in-person participation by those who otherwise would join you. Our recommendation is to poll your members on their preference, and hold the meeting either completely virtual or in-person, and avoid the watered-down hybrid approach.
